WIMBLEDON BETTING: SINNER THE WINNER

News SPORTS BETTING TIPS

However this site’s money is on Jannik Sinner. The Italian will derive advantage from Djokovic’s lame duck status as an injured contender.

But Sinner will also benefit from lack of hubris. Alcaraz is not just carrying a weight of expectations, he has been playing into that future GOAT narrative rather naively and has too much serious-face as a result …

Alcaraz will therefore wither and be the unpredictable player whereas Sinner would be playing nonchalantly. That’s when he plays best, as if is playing a bit of badminton on a wan day .

Sinner’s court coverage follows from the way he wields the racket, as if it was an extension of himself. Psychologically he is primed to win because he is way too cool when playing or talking, and all that adds upto superlative demeanour and stamina.

It’s not certain whether Sinner’s form will last. He is the least of the driven players of the current lot and that’s both an advantage and a disadvantage.

Anyway allasia betting odds are on Sinner to be crowned Wimbledon Men’s champ 2024. Wanna bet?

QUIZ TIME: The bastardized coffee arrives

PRESENT REALITY AND FUTURE PERFECT (UNREALITY) COMPARED

Both coffee and tea have been barstardized. The chief reason for this is the banal quest for novelty. Banal it is. Catering to jaded tastes, various baristas have come up with concoctions and not coffees.

To end this trend the world has to classify serious coffee for aficionados and novelty coffee for coffee-jaded experimenters, who want coffee simply as an alternative to boredom.

The problem is that even if coffee gets bastardized in this fashion progressively, and can be categorized into serious coffee and coffee for the jaded, the coffee of the jaded may ultimately morph into serious coffee too.

It could happen in cycles. The denim was eschewed and hated. That’s until the material became casual kitsch and was the most sought after material for day wear anywhere.

In this context we are compelled to look at coffee and tea futuristically.

In another world, another planet, coffee and tea may become brands that are exploited by conglomerates. It has not happened so far.

The freelance barista is free to do his thing, still.

But this may change.

Our quiz here is : will this trend of “coffee as not Coca Cola” last and will coffee become, er, Coca Cola? Bottled and sold monopolistically? Or sold in mugs, but still in a multi national monopolistic way?

Here is a scenario. You can imagine it is futuristic.

Or happening somewhere now!

Our quiz is:

Will it happen — will coffee become a monopolized beverage?

A. Yes. B. Never.  C. It is irrelevant. Coca Cola is there but so is the lemonade stand. D. Whoever answers C, doesn’t know anything about coffee or the world.

Please jot down your answer somewhere.

We will have the right answers somewhere down here in a few days. Check your with ours. Check this space, chao. Coffee!
